Akihabara Tour Information & Registration

The members of Otaku2 are the originators of the first regular English-language walking tour of Akihabara, offered continuously since 2007. Akihabara, Tokyo's world famous Electric Town and seat of "otaku" hardcore fan culture, has changed a lot the last few years, but Otaku2 is an international cooperative here to guide visitors through it. Together we have roamed every inch of Akihabara and can't wait to share its secrets. The tour is an interactive way to learn the local history, language and culture, and we hope it will open a deeper dialogue among otaku the world over!

The standard tour runs from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm every Sunday. It includes a maid café experience, and so sometimes runs a little longer.

We also offer personalized private and customizable group packages for parties interested in an alternative day or a more specific focus on shopping or learning. Otaku2（オタクニ）は、英語で行う初めての秋葉原歩行ツアーを企画し、２００７年からほぼ毎週日曜日にツアーを行っています。東京の有名な電気街である秋葉原は、いわゆる「オタク」の聖地として知られてきた９０年代から、フジテレビ系ドラマ「電車男」に推進されたアキバ・ブームの２００５年にかけて、様々に変化してきました。本ツアーでは、Otaku2に所属する国際的なオタク達が、その変化してきた秋葉原をご案内します。秋葉原に詳しい私たちは、この街の秘めた魅力を余すところなくお伝えします。このツアーで、秋葉原の歴史、ポップカルチャーの用語、そして文化を知り、世界中のオタク達と交流しましょう。

このツアーは毎週日曜日１３時半にJR秋葉原電気街出口で集合、１６時に終了、という形ですが、メイド喫茶を体験する場合は延長することもあります。予約と詳細についてはH.I.S.エクスペリエンス・ジャパンまでどうぞ。
