Miyazawa Mokei Show Fall 2008
26.11.2008 by Adrian A. Lozano
Miyazawa Mokei Show was on November 19th, 2008 and held in a new location next to Kinshicho station inside MARUI's 8th floor exhibit space. Miyazawa's pervious events had been held in a smaller location near Asakusabashi station two stations West of Kinshicho on the JR Sobu line. The reason for the relocation was this time the show catered to other small scale hobby products like trains, plains, military, and cars which in recent years were only seen exhibited at shows like Shizuoka Hobby and Japan Mokei Hobby Show. Unfortunately I only had enough time to cover the figure and mecha section of the event.
This event is biannual for the toy and hobby industry and not open to the public it usually served as a precursor to Kaiyodo's winter and summer Wonder Festival events. Unfortunately Winter Wonder Festival has officially been canceled due to the Wonder Festival escalator incident back in August . Miyazawa Mokei Show is basically a networking party surrounded by thousands of this seasons upcoming toy release which can be ordered on the spot. There are very few prototype products displayed but a hand full do pop up to wet the whistles of retail product buyers.
Highlights of the the show were.
Yamato's 1/9 scale PEDAL ID VF-1S Roy Focker bike is based off their actual 1/1 scale VF-1S Roy Focker bike that was exhibited at the 2008 Japan Mokei Hobby Show. MegaHouse's HARD EMBLEM Cobra the Space Pirate & Air Bike set looks to be every impressive for its size.
Bandai's Tamashi Saint Seiya Gold Cloth Object SAGITTARIUS is an amazing display only costs die-hard SS fans 105,000円. Even to my surprise there is actually a Gundam that I could possibly learn to love, now that's detail.

Oh my goodness, I want that Cobra figure. I have been waiting for a Cobra figure like that one because the other ones I have seen are too expensive or they are hard to find.
