This year's summer Comiket mixed things up a bit for cosplayers by moving the cosplay photo area from the usual Rooftop Exhibit Area located on the 4th floor of the West Hall, to a new area on the ground level in front of the North concourse. This location has become the new primary cosplay photo area, unfortunately it has a lot less open space than the Rooftop Exhibit Area provides. The new photo area is heavily obstructed by overhead walkways, flower planters, trees, shrubbery, and water fountains which doesn't leave much open space for cosplayers and the hoards of camera wielding attendees. The West Hall Rooftop Exhibit Area is made available for cosplayers and attendees by midday.
